The 5CX1500B is a ceramic and metal, power pentode designed for use as a Class-AB1 linear-amplifier in audio or radio frequency applications. Its characteristics low intermodulation distortion makes it especially suitable for single sideband service. The filament is a rugged mesh type. The 5CX1500B is also recommended for use as a Class C rf power amplifier in CW, FM and AM service. The 5CX1500B is recommended as a replacement for the 5CX1500A in broadcast applications. |
